What is Best time To Travel Georgia?

Many people ask me, what is best time to travel in Georgia ? my answer will be following :

Georgia has subtropical climate, so we have 4 season here, even though its very small country , we have winter ( December January February ), spring (march April may) , summer (June July august ) and autumn (September oct nov.)

to my personal point of view as a local guide best period to travel is second half o may to mid November, this is a period when you do not have any issue on the roads because e of snow. that period you should plan at least 7-8 days tour , but there are many travelers especially from GCC countries wanting to experience snow for them best time is January to mid march that's is time when snow is fresh and big chances to have snowfall too.

but it is not so simple as each month has its ow charm in here so i will try to explain and then you can decade which suites you best

start from January- as we mentioned January is winter 1 January is new year , new year is the biggest celebration of country if you travel in Georgia -1-14 Jan you be able to see very beautiful new year decorations and charismas market especially city Tbilisi

February- that's coolest month of winter - so if you want experience snowfall not only snow then February could be the best option , its very important mention here that in winter Georgia is not as cold as central Asian countries here average winter temperature is +2 co in city Tbilisi and in ski resort -5 so even for children its easy to be outside

march - is best for snow and sun lovers together if you want to have sun bathes in ski resort then march is best

April- April is blossom of many fruit trees with many different collars - apple , peach , cheery many other wild flowers already coming out

May- you can see snow and greenery together , a lot of wild flowers

June- hiking starts already- first seasonal fruit cherry you can taste

July- best for hiking and all greenery around with less chances of rain

august- better go to mountains or seas side as Tbilisi be very hot

September- best for wine lovers as its harvest you can take part in harvest

October- beautiful autumn colors

November- less crowded pleasant weather and still autumn colors cloud be firs snow in mountains

December- end of moth snow season starts
